Airtel Zambia Scoops 1st in ICT Sector International Trade Fair

- Zambia’s leading Telecoms Company honored for best service in the category of best public service and utility company award.
Lusaka Airtel Networks Zambia Plc, the leading and most innovative mobile network provider scooped the 1st Prize in the Information and Communications Technology Sector at the just ended Zambia International Trade Fair held in Ndola.  
During the award ceremony held at the Ndola Trade Fair grounds, Airtel Networks Zambia was handed the first prize by Zambia’s Republican Vice-President Dr. Guy Scott who was accompanied by Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Honourable Robert Sichinga and Ndola Mayor, His Worship, Mr. Samuel Munthai. 

Speaking after receiving the award, Airtel Networks Zambia Head of Corporate Communications and Government Relations Mrs. Yuyo Kambikambi said her company had done its utmost best to represent the Trade Fair theme of the year which was ‘Showcasing 50 Years of Business Transformation and Development”.
“We believe that communication is vital as business in Zambia continues to develop and change. We are here to stay and will continue providing the best services and products that help make Zambia more connected,” Mrs. Kambikambi said
Vice-President Dr. Guy Scott, an avid fan of the ‘Mr. Money’ character congratulated the Airtel team on winning the award.
The Zambia International Trade Fair is an annual event that takes place in Ndola right after the Copperbelt Agriculture and Mining Commercial Show. The Fair attracts both local and international exhibitors from various sectors which include the mining and agriculture sectors as well as the Tele-Communication service providers. 

Companies are measured on various parameters including contribution to the economic growth and development, levels of management expertise and implementation of corporate governance among others.
