Airtel Kenya has today announced
its support of the Jamia Mosque Education Fund with a contribution of Ksh.100,
000.00. The
contribution was made to the Mosque by Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi when
he received a delegation of leaders from the Mosque at his office led by Jamia
Mosque Chairman Sheikh Mohammed Osman Warfa.

Mohammed Osman Warfa thanked Airtel for its support towards its education
welfare saying that it will go a long way in supporting the Mosque’s goal of
educational support to the needy among the Muslim community. Sheikh Warfa also
thanked Airtel for its support during the holy month of Ramadhan where Airtel
hosted a special Iftar dinner for the faithfuls at the Mosque.
Speaking when he met with the
delegation this morning, Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi expressed the company’s
appreciation for their visit and commended the Mosque for the good work that it
has been doing through the community welfare programmes in education and
medical relief. Adil briefed the delegation on Airtel’s CSR policy of
empowering communities through initiatives in education, health and the
environment.
He
explained that Airtel identifies education as a very important area that
helps in the realization of individual and collective dreams and the
